Reminder about performance conversations

Annual performance development conversations for administrative staff and managers are currently underway through Tuesday, March 31. Performance development conversations are an opportunity for staff and managers to step back from day-to-day tasks and duties to examine and discuss past accomplishments and to set clear goals for the future.

Important: In accordance with the university’s collective agreement, Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) employees and their managers must participate in performance development activities.

The next performance development cycle runs Wednesday, April 1, 2020 through Wednesday, March 31, 2021. The performance cycle has been simplified and features fewer check-ins and steps to complete for each stage of the cycle. Additional resources are now available to assist with goal setting.

Please ensure time in your calendars to meet the performance deadlines for the next performance development cycle.

New cycle timeline:

  • Goal-setting: Wednesday, April 1 to Monday, June 15, 2020
  • Performance check-in: Sunday, November 1 to Tuesday, December 15, 2020
  • Performance conversation: Monday, February 1 to Wednesday, March 31, 2021
