FSSH researcher provides expertise on legislation related to medical assistance in dying
The Canadian federal government has begun consultations on possible changes to legislation around medically assisted death. On January 15, , PhD, Associate Professor of Legal Studies, Undergraduate Program Director, (FSSH), participated in a federal roundtable consultation meeting in Toronto on this topic, along with Minister of Justice and Attorney General David Lametti, and Minister of Health Patty Hajdu.
Dr. McMorrow also presented a paper on denying and reckoning with implicit law during the Global Conference on Constitution-Making and Constitutional Change, on January 18 at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas.
