Invitation to participate in the university’s Public Safety Education Advisory Committee
Are you interested in helping improve public safety and well-being on campus? The university seeks volunteers to serve on the new Public Safety Education Advisory Committee. The committee will bring together colleagues from across the university to:
- Provide guidance and advice on the university’s public safety education efforts.
- Co-ordinate opportunities for the community to provide input on current and emerging public safety issues affecting students, faculty and staff.
Members will include:
- Two faculty members appointed by the Provost (one to serve as Co-Chair)
- Assistant Vice-President (AVP), Student Life (Co-Chair)
- Student Union President
- Director, Campus Safety
- Director, Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability
- Director, Risk Management
- One Communications manager or representative
- One staff member from the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Two staff members appointed by AVP, Human Resources
- Two students appointed by AVP, Student Life
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please submit your expression of interest to publicsafety@ontariotechu.ca by Wednesday, November 27. Briefly describe why you feel you could be an important contributing member to this committee.
