We are now Â鶹´«Ã½ University
Since , the university has been busy bringing the new brand to life across campus and in the community.
Here are some of changes you may have noticed:
- Updated external signage on buildings at the university’s north Oshawa location.
- 140 street banners along main roads at the downtown Oshawa location.
- 58 new street banners along Conlin Road and Simcoe Street at the north Oshawa location.
- Updated entrance signage in downtown Oshawa at the Education Building, Bordessa Hall, 61 Charles Street, the Regent Theatre, Campus Childcare Centre and the TeachingCity Hub (1 Mary Street North).
- Updated penthouse wrap atop the Business and Information Technology Building and the Software and Informatics Research Centre.
- Updated signs at the Clean Energy Research Laboratory, Campus Corners, campus-operated residences along Simcoe Street and the gateway on the southwest corner of Conlin Road and Simcoe Street.
- Changes to the inside and outside of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, and Campus Ice Centre.
- Updated Â鶹´«Ã½ internal building signage (ongoing).

Strong brands get noticed. As we build awareness, support and excitement for the Â鶹´«Ã½, we will be working to translate these gains into all activities that advance our university across all audience groups.

The guidelines and tools on this website ensure all aspects of our brand are clear, and help articulate, express and evaluate the brand in every aspect of our daily work. It’s important that these standards are respected and adhered to.
As a reminder:
- Don’t incorporate OTU or any other acronym into communications or designs.
- When referencing our university in body copy, use the full name Â鶹´«Ã½ University and Â鶹´«Ã½ in subsequent references.
- When using a faculty signature, ensure Â鶹´«Ã½ University is prominently placed elsewhere within the same communication.
Use our key messages when telling our story
Whether you’re introducing yourself at a conference or at a backyard gathering, preparing a speech or completing a media interview, it’s important to speak about the university in a consistent manner.
