Invitation to participate in the university’s Food Service Planning Taskforce

Are you interested in helping to improve food service offerings on campus? The university seeks volunteers to serve on the new Food Service Planning Taskforce. This taskforce will bring together colleagues from across the university to re-imagine the food service offerings at the north Oshawa and downtown Oshawa campus locations, and to develop a plan that will address the future needs of our community. Its work will involve eliciting ideas on what food services the community would like to see, and prioritizing recommendations based on the broader university themes of diversity, sustainability and wellness.

The university’s Assistant Vice-President, Student Life and the Chief Financial Officer will co-chair the taskforce. Members will include:

  • Director of Ancillary Services
  • Student Union President or delegate
  • two student members
  • two faculty members
  • two staff members
  • one Communication and Marketing representative
  • one Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability representative

If you are interested in serving on this taskforce, please submit your expression of interest to foodservices@ontariotechu.ca by Tuesday, October 15. Briefly describe why you feel you could be an important contributing member to this taskforce.
