Nominations open for Citizen to Leader program
The Human Resources department will once again offer the program for staff who are interested in developing their personal leadership.
The program includes a series of seminars designed to develop and enhance your leadership capacity and better equip you for increased responsibility. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their leadership capabilities, enhance their communication and coaching skills, build relationships and network with fellow colleagues, and exchange ideas.
The program is not necessarily meant for individuals currently in management roles, but is suited to emerging leaders and those who have the potential to move into future leadership opportunities at the university.
Topics include:
- Your roles as a leader
- Effective communication
- Leading through change
- Coaching and giving effective feedback
- Performance development/management
- Bringing leadership into action
Peer coaching modules will be incorporated into the program to encourage self-reflection, discovery and social learning.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please have your supervisor fill out the by Friday, September 6. Those accepted into the program will receive further details about the timing and format of the program.
