Parking restrictions in Founders Lot 2 due to high school graduation ceremonies – June 26 through 28
Four high school graduation ceremonies will take place this week at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
As in previous years, we’ve asked graduating high school students, their families and guests to park in Founders Lot 2. However, parking space in Founders Lot 2 is currently reduced due to the recent temporary relocation of the university’s Student Life and U6 Buildings to the west end of that lot.
To reduce congestion, we encourage Founders Lot 2 permit holders to park in one of these alternative lots Wednesday, June 26 through Friday, June 28:
- Campus Corners - limited additional spots available. Campus Corners employees will receive a separate email with further instructions from Chantelle Harrison, Executive Assistant, Durham College Administration.
- Founders Lots 3, 4 and 5 - ungated lots.*
- Commencement Lot - gates will remain open June 26 through 28.*
* Free parking for visitors not attending the high school graduation ceremonies.
Security personnel will be situated at the Founders Lot 2 gates until 2 p.m. each day, and will provide maps to alternative parking lots if necessary.
Motorists should drive with care and watch for pedestrians.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation.
