STEAM 3D Maker Lab Summer 2019 professional development session for educators
The Faculty of Education’s will offer a maker/STEAM-related professional development session for Kindergarten to Grade 12 teachers this summer:
InkSmith Summer Session - August 19 to 21
Register for an innovative, three-day educator session, a collaboration between Â鶹´«Ã½ University’s STEAM 3D maker lab and education technology company . Participants will learn about coding, robotics and the Internet of Things through InkSmith’s newest classroom technology, the . The session will model passion-based learning through the design-thinking process (educators will work on a K8-related passion project for three days). Participants will also acquire a better understanding of maker pedagogies, coding/Internet of Things technologies and connections to the curriculum.
When: Monday, August 19 through Wednesday, August 21
Where: STEAM 3D Maker Lab, Education Building, Â鶹´«Ã½ University, 11 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, Ontario
Cost: $150 plus applicable taxes.
