Science Rendezvous coming to campus May 11
Â鶹´«Ã½ University and Durham College will host Science Rendezvous on Saturday, May 11.
This free grassroots festival makes science accessible to thousands of people, and is appropriate for all age groups. It’s a great opportunity to meet our science buffs and participate in experiments. Faculty, staff, students and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring your kids along for a fun day for the whole family!
This year’s theme is ‘STEAM Big’. Highlights include , featuring art and science inspiration through Science Rendezvous’ keystone ‘STEAM’ events. You can also sign up for the , a half hour of fun science challenges where you try to solve an intriguing science scenario.

This year’s new lab tours include a tour of the Aquatic Toxicology Lab, where kids can see fish and fish embryos, do some activities, and find out what kind of research is being done there.
In addition, ACE Tours will feature some fun activities such as checking out the wind tunnel and playing with different wind speeds.
The from 2:30 to 3 p.m. will feature a surprise group activity—don’t miss it!
Parking is free. This year, participants are encouraged to be ‘green’ and as well as a refillable water bottle.
