Faculty of Health Sciences hosts 2019 Nursing Graduation Celebration, Pinning and Preceptor Recognition ceremony
Family, friends, Â鶹´«Ã½ University and Durham College faculty, staff and community partners gathered on April 25 to celebrate the university’s (BScN) and graduates.
The evening included awards, speeches, and the presentation of the 2019 BScN lapel pin to each graduate. The graduates also participate in a candle-lighting ceremony, which represents the passing of the flame from Florence Nightingale to each nurse, and the nurses' commitment to the profession. Graduates recited the Nightingale Pledge, an adaptation of the Hippocratic Oath.
