University launches 'Essential Workplace Communications Bootcamp' for young professionals

Brand new, short certificate program launched by Faculty of Social Science and Humanities

The new Essential Workplace Communications Bootcamp aims to empower new graduates and young professionals embarking on entry-level positions in the workforce with relevant communications skills.

The one-week bootcamp is structured with four modules, each four hours long, plus approximately two hours of self-study and independent work following each module. The final day includes a two-hour online session for culminating presentations.

The small class sizes ensure participants engage in plenty of active learning in both small and large groups. This is not a lecture! Each learning activity in the module is designed to help participants acquire specific skills they can combine to produce an e-portfolio, which includes evidence of their learning they can present to potential employers, as well as practical tools they can use while employed.
