Guest lecture: Examining and Comparing the Motivations and Methods of Cybercriminals - April 5
On Friday, April 5, guest speaker Thomas Holt, PhD, Professor, School of Criminal Justice, Michigan State University will speak about the driving factors of computer hackers and attackers, with a particular focus on monetary gain and ideological beliefs as motives. He will explore differences in the methods and targets of these attackers using data from various open sources, including forums, news media, and the attackers themselves.
