Ontario Today interviews FSSH researcher about hate speech targets

On October 30, Rita Celli, host of CBC Radio’s Ontario Today, interviewed Barbara Perry, PhD, Professor, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, on the topic of targeting people with hateful language, and why words matter. The interview followed a discussion with former Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne on her experiences as a frequent target of hateful language.

Dr. Perry’s interview begins about 31:30 into the 52-minute program and lasts until 37:30. She was on for about six minutes and then returned to comment further on a caller’s question between 49:43 and 51:15.
