Potential impact of Canada Post rotating strike action
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has begun a rotating nationwide strike. In affected communities, mail may take longer to reach its destination.
The strike action could affect specific communities for 24-hour periods. In such a situation, Canada Post will:
- Continue to accept, process and deliver mail and parcels elsewhere in the country.
- Return to normal operations in affected communities once the temporary disruption ends.
All internal campus-to-campus deliveries will continue. Should the labour dispute affect the university, the campus mailroom will postpone external deliveries until the 24-hour strike period has ended.
