Changes to the Senior Academic Team and structure of the Office of the Provost
After analysis and discussion with senior leaders, the President has approved the Provost’s recommended changes to the Senior Academic Team (SAT) and the Provost’s office structure.
The SAT will be chaired by the Provost and will include the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, along with the eight Deans. The SAT will be supported by the Assistant to the Provost and the Associate Provost.
Structural changes
- Executive Director, Information Technology (Paul Bignell) will report directly to the Provost
- Manager, Student Systems (Ade Oyemade) will report to the Executive Director, Information Technology
- Manager, Teaching and Learning Centre (Susan Forbes) will report to the Provost
- Effective July 1, 2019, this position will report to the Associate Provost
- Manager, Centre for Institutional Quality Enhancement (Nicole Molinaro) will report to the Assistant Vice-President, Planning and Analysis
Interim Associate Provost
Dr. Langis Roy, Dean, School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, has been appointed Interim Associate Provost through June 30, 2019. The Interim Associate Provost will co-ordinate Tenure and Promotion, Academic Labour Relations and also assist the Provost in other special projects. Dr. Roy has been at the university since July 2015 as Dean, School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. He will continue in this role during his appointment as Interim Associate Provost.
