Honey Harvesting and Candle Design Challenge launch – September 27
The Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability (OCIS) invites faculty and staff to the Honey Harvesting and Candle Design Challenge Launch on Thursday, September 27.
Participants will:
- Learn about the university’s Pollinator Project by touring the campus apiary, pollinator gardens, community garden and tree nursery. Experience honey harvesting with the OCIS beekeeper.
- Support the university’s sustainability initiatives by designing a candle using beeswax from the Pollinator Project. The winning design will be sold on campus as a promotional item. Watch for challenge details in a future Weekly Report.
