Participate in the Active Switch Challenge
The and invite faculty and staff to participate in the Active Switch Challenge, currently underway through Tuesday, July 31.
Why participate?
Physical activity is a critical component of staying healthy. Yet every day, people pass up free opportunities to exercise by choosing to drive instead of using active options such as walking or cycling. For people who can't find time to incorporate the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity into their daily routine, the solution may be to rethink how they travel.
How does it work?
The Active Switch Challenge encourages participants to get active and log a minimum of 20 active trips using the online Active Switch tool. Participants are automatically entered into a draw for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card.
Active trips can be for exercise, commuting, personal or business travel. You can walk, cycle, run, skateboard, rollerblade or use a manual wheelchair.
