FEAS member part of Ontario government-funded artificial intelligence project for medical imaging
, Professor, (FEAS), is part of a research team connected to a five-year artificial intelligence project for digital pathology that recently received a $3.2 million grant from the Ontario Research Fund – Research Excellence program (ORF-RE). The team also includes researchers from the University of Waterloo and University of Guelph.
The research team will collaborate with three hospitals (Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario; Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario; and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) to design and test an advanced search engine for large pathology archives.
