OCIS to launch community garden
The Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability (OCIS) is starting the university’s first community garden at the Windfields Farm lands. This is an opportunity for faculty and staff to come together and support the local community’s food production.
Participants will each have their own designated plots to grow vegetables, herbs and pollinator-friendly flowers of their choosing.
OCIS will also offer a workshop educating participants on pollination, seed saving and pest-management strategies.
For more information, contact sustainability@uoit.ca. OCIS will share full guidelines and important dates in future Weekly Reports.
