Changes to the Staff and Team Awards of Excellence
Over the past few years, the university’s Staff and Team Awards of Excellence program has supported the recognition of administrative staff members who have made outstanding contributions in their roles and who have achieved excellence in demonstrating the university’s core competencies. The program’s success is rooted in the exceptional efforts of our campus community to support and recognize the great work of colleagues in their service to students and one another.
The previous Staff Award of Excellence included two distinct employment categories: Professional/Managerial and Administrative/Technical. Due to changes to the university’s employment categories, and in response to feedback from the campus community, the university has decided to revamp the awards. It will form a committee of previous award recipients, individual contributors and people leaders within the university to help with this process.
As a result, there will be no call for nominations for the Staff and Team Awards of Excellence at this time. The new awards will be presented at a future event in 2018-2019.
