Cognos Analytics upgrade – May 28 to 30
The university is in the midst of upgrading its business intelligence software from Cognos 10 to (also known as Cognos 11). The upgrade will continue through Wednesday, May 30.
The Information Technology (IT) Services department anticipates the upgraded environment will be available for all users on Thursday, May 31. Note: Users will not have access to the production Cognos environment and scheduled reports will not run during the upgrade period.
IBM ended support for Cognos 10 on April 30; by upgrading, the university will continue to receive support for Cognos. Users will also benefit from a fresh interface and better user experience. Once the upgrade is complete, existing reports and report schedules will be fully available without any intervention.
If you haven’t already had a chance to learn about the changes to the interface in Cognos Analytics, IT Services has prepared a collection of useful resources:
- A trial environment for you to experience the updated interface during the upgrade period.
