University Communicators Connect Network – April 26

The next University Communicators Connect Network (UCCN) meeting will take place Thursday, April 26 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the RBC Meeting Place (Business and Information Technology Building, Staff and Faculty Lounge, Room 1055). Guest speaker Lesley D'Souza, Manager, Communications and Assessment in the university’s Office of Student Life, will lead an issue management case study.

What is Communicators Connect?

The Communications and Marketing department launched UCCN in 2016. Held quarterly, each one-hour meeting features a different theme, guest speaker and learning takeaway. The sessions are designed to provide opportunities for communicators in faculties and departments across the university to:

  • Network among colleagues.
  • Share information about emerging communications issues and activities.
  • Effectively and cost-efficiently conduct professional development activities for university communicators.
  • Learn about university-wide communications standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Serve as an occasional focus group for consultation on communications activities.

The goal is for communicators to:

  • Become more aware of the university’s strategic direction.
  • Be exposed to professional development activities.
  • Connect with fellow communicators working in all university faculties and departments as well as with external colleagues.

All are welcome to attend.
