Reconciliation and the Future of Post-Secondary Education - May 1

The President’s Indigenous Reconciliation Taskforce invites faculty and staff to attend Reconciliation and the Future of Post-Secondary Education on Tuesday, May 1.

Why attend?

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) made several calls to action in its report towards building new relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples at all levels of the Canadian education system.

Join Kevin Lamoureux, National Education Lead, National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation as he addresses why and how universities should respond to the calls for action in education.

Details:

  • When: Tuesday, May 1 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: Science Building, Room 1140

For more information, contact Rachel Ariss, PhD, Associate Professor, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, Co-Chair of the President’s Indigenous Reconciliation Taskforce, or Jill Thompson, Indigenous Cultural Advisor, Indigenous Education and Cultural Services.
