Mother Language Festival – March 15
The Mother Language Festival is on Thursday, March 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre. This is an annual event run by the university and Durham College to showcase the linguistic and cultural diversity of our shared campus. Our students have roots tracing back to more than 60 countries and 80 languages.
The festival is an opportunity for each student exhibitor to create an interactive display and engage in conversations and activities about their culture and language with staff, faculty and their fellow students. In the past, more than 120 passionate volunteers, eager to share their cultures, have led more than one dozen unique exhibits.
Come out to show your support and please share this opportunity with students. For further information, contact Aida Malekoltojari, Student Development Specialist – International, at ext. 2579.
