Call for volunteers to help film sexual violence prevention training videos
As part of ongoing efforts to eliminate sexual violence on campus, the university seeks members of its diverse community to help develop sexual violence prevention training materials.
Background:
In the fall, the university began working on training materials to help educate the university community on what sexual violence is and how we can all work to eliminate it. Training will include:
- An introduction to consent culture.
- A definition of sexual violence.
- An overview of relevant university policies.
- Information on the approach campus community members can take if they experience sexual violence or if they receive a disclosure indicating sexual violence.
How you can help:
We need staff and faculty volunteers to help film content for the training videos on:
- Thursday, January 18
- Friday, January 19
- Thursday, January 25
- Friday, January 26
No prior experience is necessary! You will read lines from a teleprompter and scripts. Filming will take approximately 20 minutes.
To volunteer, contact Steven Crawford, Multimedia Developer, Teaching and Learning Centre by Tuesday, January 16, stating your availability (day and approximate time). Steven will respond back with your script and will be able to answer any other questions you may have about the process.
